Bio:
Dr. Rob Pomponio is currently a Global Scientific Advisor of Biomarkers and Clinical Bioanalysis at Sanofi. His 33-year career as a Human Geneticist has spanned basic research in the discovery and characterization of genes and mutations that contribute to human disease in Orphan Disease and Oncology. He has led R&D and Clinical Laboratories with Genzyme and Sanofi to characterize novel biomarkers and developed sensitive and robust clinical assays that support patient monitoring and contribute to successful clinical trial endpoints. Working within the Translational Medicine and Early Development platform at Sanofi, he devises biomarker plans that contribute understanding of biomarkers of disease, potential safety and toxicology risks and efficacy/response that are used to support approval of Sanofi’s therapeutic products.
